Not sure if they are used or not. You are buying the box, not the innards. Box is in good shape. Disks are wrapped in old wax paper. Mattatuck acquired New Departure in 1959. Mattatuck introduced a Model E in 1962 based on the successful New Departure Model D. By the Mid-1960s production ceased of the Mattatuck All American Multiple Disc Safety Coaster Brake. Most Mattatuck parts are interchangeable with New Departure Parts.
